I’m extremely fortunate to be presenting two sessions at Blogworld in New York this year. The first will be a super session to kick off the event on June 5th, in which I will update our Social Habit research series with new data on Americans’ use of social networks, and what the implications are for content creators, brands and society in general. I’m delighted to be able to give my friends a unique discount code for Blogworld (and if you are reading this, you are MY BEST FRIEND EVAR), so if you’d like to save even more on the event you can use this code: BTomW10. I really hope to see you there and kiss/shake as many hands/babies as I can.
I was also honored to have been asked to participate in a panel on the last day, entitled The State Of Podcasting 2012. My company has put out regular studies of podcast consumption since 2005, so I do have some perspective on where the medium has been, and where it is going. In order to provide an updated, research-based angle on where podcasting currently stands, the crew at Edison has been working overtime to not only update The Social Habit, but also The Podcast Consumer research reports for 2012. We will debut the former at Blogworld, but I wanted to give you all a sneak peek at the latter prior to the event. I’m a huge fan of the medium, and have been an active podcast consumer for over 7 years (and now a podcast producer, too!) so it continues to be my great pleasure to be involved with this particular research series.
If you’d like a preview of our podcast research, I hope you’ll join me next week for a 30-minute webinar of The Podcast Consumer 2012. The session will be on Tuesday, May 29th, at 11:30 am. Sign up early–there are limited spots open (and no, that’s not Salesperanto–there really are only 98 spots left). Register for The Podcast Consumer 2012 here, and I hope to see you at one or both of my sessions at Blogworld NYC!
